I capture accidental distortions that appear in the process of re-photography, without the use of any photo enhancing software. I source my images from the TV and Internet, a visual ethnographic practice of what is happening around us today. I often twin images together to allow the viewer to build their own narratives. I search for the essence of something that is present yet hidden by an act of subterfuge and also how identity can be created/manipulated whether real or fictitious. I also enjoy toying with the concept of Fact and Fiction and the abstruse notion of whether the two are visually distinguishable when an image is broken down. |
